The Day, of the Lord
67
That day, the Day of the Lord,
Comes
Like a thief, in the night
It comes about,
In broad daylight
As light gives way to night
As night gives way to terror
The Day of the Lord,
Comes
What man, will be left standing
When, the mountains are raised
The valleys are laid low
When, the earth shakes
And in its foundations quakes
When, the heavens rumble
As all men, tremble
What man, will be left standing
On that terrible, fateful, frightful day
As darkness gives way to light
As light gives way to truth
Man is faced, with the Divine Fire
It consumes, and assumes
Purifies, and emulsifies
The proud works, of man
What man will be left standing
On that terrible, frightful day
As all life comes to a still
It is time for Judgement, still
Man opens his eyes, to the truth
And can run away, no longer
What man will be left standing
When, the Lord comes
And dissipates away
The smoke of life
Time of great strife
A moment, of great light
The Lord, comes
And brings together,
His People
My People, raise your gaze
To the Heavens
Your deliverance, is nearĀ
At Hand.
